Shooting On Location Diary ( Day One)

Shooting on location day one didn't turn out to be in our favor as the weather was freezing and icy and also there were snow on the ground from the night before it also started to snow through out the day to. This restricted what we could do as we couldn't film outside. We spent day one finding the right camera angle and positioning of the equipment and the actors. Not much filming was done due to the snow and so if we filmed  mayor continuity errors would of  occurred. The mayor priorities for day one was to,

 1. Set the scene of our film (setting the tools in the garage) and also making sure our mice en scene       was in order.

2. Making sure the equipment were in the right place for the shot.

Despite the snow we managed to film some of the scenes such as the scenes that were located in the house(the scene we see Rachel picking up the key of the wall and seeing her walking through the corridor into the kitchen).

own contribution,

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the shooting on day one due to the fact I was taken in to hospital on the same day of shooting. I managed to get in contact with my group and explain my situation to which they said was perfectly fine and that they understood why I couldn't be there and so they decided as they had already got all the equipment set up that they would continue to film in my absence.  I told them to keep me up to date on what they had done and which parts they had filmed so I new were we were and what still needed to be filmed. During the day I phoned the group when I could to see what was happening, how far they had got and if they needed any advice or had any issues or changes they wanted to make.

Below is a Vlog that was created during the filming process that shows behind the scenes in action,

Next post will be Shooting on location day 2 and 3
