Editing

So from the shooting process we move onto the editing. As you may know editing is one of the most important parts of filming as without editing the film would have no meaning and no effect basically the film would be pretty boring.  By editing the film it allows you to develop you short scenes into a film as you can crop scenes and place them in the order you wish them to be you can also add effects such as colour, sound effects and sound tracks and make sure there in the right place.

After many painful hours editing we finally produced a rough cut to be proud of. To give a little insight into how we edited our film we produces a screen cast which talks you through any changes we wanted to make and also how we edited the film.

Below is the screen cast.

As Sara is more confident in using final cut Nareece and I took a step back  compared to the filming process, however we didn't just leave Sara on her own as we both turned up to the editing sessions that were arranged. I think this helped Sara as due to her staring at a computer screen for hours it was easier for Nareece and I to spot the errors and improvements. I also helped with getting the soundtrack and sound effect in the right place so that it gave the film tension and suspense.

Overall I feel the editing process was successful as we were all their to help and support each other.

In my next post I will talk about our Indents
