Risk assessment

A risk assessment is when all the things such as hazards, what are the risks associated with the hazard and how the risk can be prevented. A risk assessment is important as they inform people of the hazards it tells you who is at risk of that hazard and prevents the risk from occurring. For example in the place of film a hazard may be to burn yourself on a light the person at risk would be the person operating the light to prevent getting burnt gloves could be worn.

When creating a risk assessment the hazard are identified by looking at each area that will be used. When filming to see if their is any hazards you need to look at the types of hazard that can occur by using each piece of equipment. The risk assessment is a very important document which need to be done tho-rally and with dual care and attention.

So before we started filming our Film Fatal Envy we created a risk assessment. We hope the risk assessment will help prevent any Crew or Actors being injured. It is important to review the risk assessment before each day of filming so you are clear on the hazards as if an actor is injured then the film makers can be sued.

Here is the risk assessment for Fatal Envy.
